On February 18-19, I competed in the National Collegiate Sports Analytics Championship in Nashville, placing 3rd overall, while McCombs took 1st in the team competition.
The challenge: Analyze social media data from the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) and determine how to drive engagement. The competition involved four hours of data analysis and visualization, followed by multiple presentation rounds where half the field was eliminated each time.
I built a model incorporating a range of complexity variables to develop strategic insights. My analysis and presentation skills carried me through each round, and in the final stage, I presented in front of the entire competition, finishing in 3rd place.
